The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs,
but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.
(Thomas Edison)
One of my primary goals in life is to spend time, energy, and money maintaining my health rather than spending them on correcting disease. I am unable to provide my body and brain everything needed for optimal health from a modern diet alone, so I have developed a practice of nutritional supplements to help.
For a New Year’s resolution a few years ago, I went searching for a source of Coenzyme Q-10 for its antioxidant role as a free radical scavenger, and Omega-3 Fatty Acids for their role in lowering triglyceride levels and brain health. I found much more.
In my search I discovered excellent sources for CoQ-10 and Omega-3 Fatty Acids, plus I learned about the importance of Resveratrol in reducing inflammation, Melatonin for improving sleep and bolstering the bodies protection from many illnesses, and the use of complex botanicals and vitamins to offer superior telomere support for youthful aging.
Telomeres are the protective caps at the ends of our chromosomes. They protect our DNA from damage like the ends of shoelaces protect against unraveling. As we age, our telomeres naturally shorten and fray, but poor health and nutrition can accelerate the process1.
During an interview with a doctor, I learned that the length of our telomeres is the best measure of our real age. In fact, I am planning to research a blood test he said would measure the length of my telomeres and reveal my actual biological age. Stay tuned for a future post on the results of my research.
I supplement my diet with a healthy and safe source of herbs, antioxidants, botanicals, vitamins, minerals, and proprietary formulations designed specifically to maximize healthy aging for the body and brain.
Here are the top 10 benefits I expect from my nutritional supplement practice:
- Help me stay drug free
- Ensure my body and brain are getting complete nourishment for optimal health and longevity
- Increase the work capacity of my body and brain
- Provide cellular and telomere support for youthful aging
- Give my body and brain antioxidant protection to fight stress and the effects of free-radicals that can accelerate aging
- Reduce inflammation and increase my immune health
- Enhance my body’s fat-burning ability
- Help me establish and maintain a healthy sleep-wake cycle
- Improve quality of sleep and total sleep time while supporting healthy brain function
- Provide specific nutrients for improved memory
My daily routine is simple, takes only a few minutes each morning and evening, and gives me peace of mind that I am responsibly providing my body and brain the nutrients needed for optimal health and aging.
When I treat my “human frame” with regular exercise, a wholesome diet, and nutritional supplements, it is better able to prevent disease naturally.

Sometimes adverts give you snippets of info which touch on the truth. like the comment that our food no longer has the nutritional value that it used to. So what are the current nutritional values and do companies really add vitamins etc to food or do they just claim to. Alpha lipoic acid d and alpha lipoic acid dl are two very different things. one natural and one artificial, why do have to put up with the artificial when it comes to health?
Danielle, thank you for your comment! We agree it can be difficult for consumers to know exactly what they’re eating. Strong labeling laws and full disclosure from the food and nutritional supplement industries would be a great start. In the meantime, we recommend taking a personal interest in questioning and researching foods and supplements before consuming them. Thanks again for your input on this important topic.
