In 2012, Keira Barr—scientist, doctor, healer—diagnosed her own cancer, tore the labrum in her hip, and had to undergo a gynecological surgery to overcome a hormonal issue.

She was immobile for four months. Couldn’t do the exercise she loved. Couldn’t live the life she knew. Hit rock bottom.

Then, she began anew. She picked up a pen and a paper and began to write. She read anything she could get her hands on. She learned, adapted, and transformed her life.

Today she runs the Resilient Health Institute, teaching you to “highlight your strengths rather than masking your flaws” so you can “unleash true potential as a human being.”

(Don’t forget that resiliency is one’s ability to bounce back. And, at certain times in life, we all need to rise from the ashes, change direction, and GO. Just Like Keira did.)

She’s big on touch. A hug. Melting into each other physically and emotionally.

An ex-ultramarathoner, she now preaches a “less is more” approach because she believes “we teach best what we need to learn the most.”

She works hard to find the joy in the daily routine.

She lives to help people, and she’s really good at it.

Give a listen.
