This week for our Something Significant post, the Happy Living Archives are bringing back blog tester and creator of Happy Living’s “Blog Theatre™,” Scott Barry.
In his inspiring Something Significant interview from March 2016, we hear that in Scott’s quest to find meaning, he discovered that doing what he loved wasn’t enough, but that he needed his work to provide some kind of social value, too. Since that realization, Scott has created a life doing work he loves that also creates value for others—that’s what I call Something Significant!
Later this week, Scott will be joining much of the Happy Living team aboard a classic 40-foot yacht for one of our favorite events: the World Domination Summit (WDS). The gathering features both a full week of activities and an unforgettable main-stage weekend.[1] In the last episode of Blog Theatre™, Scott shared that he loves WDS because it’s attended by “people from all parts of the world talking about the things that matter: growth, commitment, innovation, inspiration, and love.” I couldn’t agree more.
In last week’s Archives post, I explained why I think the “attendee-led meet-ups” are amongst the coolest features of WDS, and I shared our schedule of the seven meet-ups we’ll be hosting aboard our Happy Living headquarters at this years summit.
True to form, Scott is attending WDS not only for what he can learn to improve his life, but also to share what he’s learned with others…so they may improve their lives too. Scott will be co-hosting one of our meet-ups–Marketing Magic For Capturing Share of Mind in a Busy World–as well as hosting one of his own called How to get to the HEART of your STORY.
Scott embodies the spirit of this great event! We all gather once a year to learn new ideas, discover new skills, make new connections… and help one another in the pursuit of living remarkable lives.
So today, I’m reaching into the archives to introduce Scott Barry (produced screenwriter, playwright, solo performer, author of The Greener the Grass, and the world’s premier blog tester). In re-sharing this episode, it’s my intention that our fellow WDSers can get to know Scott…and to give our Happy Living community another taste of the World Domination Summit as encouragement to join us in Portland for next year’s event.
